What is Qualitropic?

Qualitropic is a competitiveness cluster. Not only that, it is the only one of the French Overseas Departments. But what's more?
It is a place of exchange, beginnings, project launches; a real innovation accelerator!
It is also an independent body which unites different entities (mostly companies) around one shared topic of interest: "tropical bioeconomics," in order to further competitiveness, performance, and economic development.
 

What is tropical bioeconomics?

Bioeconomics is without a doubt the economic model of the future!
It brings together economic activities on the one hand and innovation, production, development and the use of products and processes from the living and renewable world on the other.
It is tropical because it is based on environmentally friendly production and the use of all the resources and richness which is teaming beneath our feet. It focuses on the use of natural land and sea resources in the Indian Ocean.
 

In which fields?

In agricultural production, improvement of industrial processes, human and animal health, etc. All from an environmental protection point of view.
Who are Qualitropic?
Qualitropic are men and women, dynamic company directors (very small enterprises, SMEs, and large groups), as well as research, education and training institutions.
 

What do they do?

A company that wishes to innovate often feels lost and alone and far from all have no internal R&D departments.
Our core business involves making Reunion Island companies competitive through innovation, enabling them to take the leap and meet their target-market demands in order to develop (or even survive!), generate business and added value, for themselves and their area, as well as creating jobs!

It's very simple: qualitropic supports companies from start to finish of the development process. This means being involved from the initial idea, during R&D, interaction with other research and financing bodies, right up to market launch.
This is because the new product, which will generate new business and employment, locally or internationally, will be the result of combining science and industry; laboratory and market.

The amount of your subscription is proportional to your company's turnover. Our members know how much this project engineering would cost if they had to use their own means.

The only competitiveness cluster of the French Overseas Departments, Qualitropic is based on Reunion, in the South-West Indian Ocean, in the La Mare business district, a few minutes away from Saint Denis, the Island's administrative capital. It is at the heart of a strategic area which hosts the airport, a Technopole, Reunion University, as well as an economic business district and a major employment pool.
